In this era of rapid development, especially in the field of science and
technology, it is important for educational institution, including schools, to be
aware of the changes taking place so that we can make necessary adjustment.
Also, we need to understand and support the efforts of the Education Ministry to
review and reshape the existing national education policies. Smart schools,
emphasis on science education, the use of computer in learning are but a few of
the new concepts being discussed and tried.

     I trust that the staff and students of Sckolah Menengah Kebangsaan Lembah
Keramat will utilise the facilities available wisely so as to maximise its
advantages. We want to produce a well-informed and knowledgeable society
which is a prerequisite to the nation success of achieving Vision 2020.
