MESSAGE
As we all know, Malaysia is heading towards
making all schools in Malaysia as Smart Schools by the next millennium.
In Smart Schools, computers will play an important role in the process
of learning and teaching. The Internet and multimedia support will be used
widely and teachers will act as facilitators and to inculcate moral values
in students. Indirectly, the entrance of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan
Lembah Keramat into the ‘Information Highway' is a step in the right direction
to realize Vision 2020.
The entrance of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan
Lembah Keramat into the ‘Information Highway' is also hoped to connect
us to the outer world and enable us to communicate with other schools around
the globe. Surely a lot of benefits will be gained through the exchange
of information that can be done effectively. Hence, making the teachers
and students of this school be open minded and knowledgeable about what
is happening around the world.
This web site also plays a role in introducing
Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Lembah Keramat as a school that will not be
left in this era of Information Technology. The application of Information
Technology in the teaching and learning process in this school is straight
in line with the Education Ministry's vision to make education in Malaysia
up to world standards.
Furthermore, the facilities provided by the
Internet will enable teachers to enhance the teaching and learning process.
Teachers would be able to follow the development and the most up-to-date
information. This will indeed be a great boon to the students. Not only
they will be equipped with the latest knowledge but more importantly know
where to obtain knowledge.
I would like to thank all parties involved
in constructing this web site and enabling the school to be directly connected
to the ‘Information Highway'. This facility should be used wisely in our
strive for a nation standing strongly on a foundation of Information Technology
as the world is now facing the ‘Information Revolution'.
